Mifflin County Athletic Training

Zach Kavo has been an athletic trainer at Mifflin County High School since 2013. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training from Penn State in 2011 and then received a Master's Degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion from California University of Pennsylvania in 2012. After graduating from Penn State, he interned at Radford University, where he worked primarily with the men's soccer and baseball teams. Prior to coming to Mifflin County, he was a seasonal athletic training intern with the Denver Broncos during the 2012 NFL season. He is a Graston Technique Specialist, as well as a Corrective Exercise Specialist. He is employed by Geisinger.

Alison Krajewski has been an Athletic Trainer for 25 years. She completed her Bachelor’s degree at PSU and completed her Master’s degree at Louisiana State University. She then went on to work at Baylor University for 4 years before moving back to State College and working in the State College Area School District for 17 years where she worked mainly with football, basketball and lacrosse. She then accepted a position at St. Joe's Catholic Academy before coming to Mifflin County in August of 2023. Alison is also an instructor for Penn State teaching Athletic Training courses and Medical Terminology courses.

Amanda Singer is entering her fifth year as a Certified Athletic Trainer. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from the University of Maryland, College Park, and then completed her Master’s degree in Athletic Training at the University of Delaware in 2021.

 

Amanda began her professional career at Yale University, where she spent two years working with the Bulldogs’ field hockey and softball programs. She then joined the sports medicine staff at Gettysburg College, where from 2023 to 2025 she provided care for multiple teams, including football, field hockey, men’s soccer, women’s basketball, swimming, and women’s lacrosse.
